Find out what is happening in our local real estate market with these excerpts courtesy of the Honolulu Advertiser.  Honolulu's real estate market is very unique considering that the island of Oahu is only 596 square miles.  So it has to be understood that our housing market is tight these days and our median prices here for Single Family homes has tipped past $600,000 while the national median price is close to $200,000.

This illustration shows you the differences in expectations when visiting Hawaii looking for property.  Of course, you won't have the same resources, ambiance and lifestyle in Hawaii that can be found elsewhere.  Some of the recent news articles will go into detail about the median prices here in Hawaii and also talk a little bit more about our market.  We will continue to add to this section to give a better understanding of our market and hopefully help you to feel more comfortable about our prices.
